CNC Machining Services
CNC machining is still the preferred method of manufacturing when it comes to producing high precision parts, with tight tolerances and production-grade surface finishes. It is well suited for prototyping, as well as low to medium-sized production runs.
Xinprototype offers a variety of CNC machining processes that cater to every industry, to various levels of precision, and with highly competitive quotations and lead times.
Our range of manufacturing services offered includes milling, turning, EDM, and precision grinding. In addition to our suite of 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers, we offer a range of surface finish options, a wide range of materials (metal, composite, and plastic), as well as ISO 9001 certified quality management systems.

CNC Milling
Used to create complex 3D shapes or to apply machined surfaces and features to parts made from both plastics and metals. Include holes, curves, slots, angled shapes, and channels. Versatile, accurate, and repeatable.

CNC Turning
Used to produce parts around a rotational axis from block or bar material. Such as shafts, couplings, bushings, and other round objects. Typical lathe operations include turning, facing, boring, threading, and parting.

Wire EDM
Cutting prismatic shapes with an identical profile at the top and bottom of the part, tapers, and even walls of varying thickness. Tolerances of ±0.005mm, and with precision of ±0.002mm, ensuring accuracy and repeatability.

Precision Grinding
Perfect for requiring enhanced tolerances on surfaces and improved roughness. Such as bearings, sealing surfaces. Our grinding machines are capable of producing surface finishes as fine as Ra 0.2-0.4μm.
Precision CNC Machining Parts and Quality Control
Step 1: CNC Machining Processing
CNC milling a block of solid aluminum part with cutting fluid( or coolant), to reduce friction between the tool and the workpiece. Cooling the tool, and improved the tolerance of the part.
Step 2: Precision Finishing & Deburring
After milling the shape around, with precision finishing to achieve tight tolerances and surface roughness. Removing the burrs to ensure a smooth surface finish and good appearance.
Step 3: Quality Inspection
Our in‑house CMM coordinate measuring machines ensure every dimension meets your exact specifications. By capturing micron‑level data points across complex surfaces, we verify tolerances down to ±0.005 mm.

Frequently Asked Questions About
CNC Machining Parts
What are the usual tolerances for CNC-machined parts?
Typical CNC machining tolerances are around ±0.05 mm for standard parts. For higher precision work, tolerances of ±0.02 mm can be achieved. The final tolerance depends on factors such as material, part size, geometry, and machining setup. With high-precision machining, tolerances as fine as ±0.005 mm can be reached.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for CNC machining?
There is no MOQ when ordering CNC machined parts from Xinprototype. Whether you’re ordering one-off parts for prototyping, or larger quantities for batch production, then we can cater to your needs.
What file formats are required for CNC machining quotations?
For producing parts on our CNC systems we require high fidelity CAD files such as STEP or IGS, as they are CAD neutral and preserve the geometry far better than tessellated 3D files such as STL format. For 2D parts or profiles, DXF (.dxf) files are typically used.
If additional machining instructions that are not covered in the 3D models are needed, then feel free to provide us with PDF documents detailing your requirements. This can help reduce uncertainty and can speed up the quotation process.
What kinds of parts can CNC machining produce?
This depends on the type of process that has been selected for manufacture.
Turning can produce parts that are rotational in nature (such as shafts, gears, etc), while milling can produce complex 3D geometries such as housings and brackets.
Wire EDM is better suited for high precision components with a more prismatic geometry such as dies and punches. Multi-axis machining allows for the production of complex contoured and freeform surfaces, as well as machining multiple faces in a single setup.
In additional, we have sheet metal fabrication and vacuum casting as alternative production solutions if needed.
Do you provide surface finishing for CNC-machined parts?
Yes we do! Xinprototype can provide a range of surface finishing, including anodizing, plating, painting, chrome, polishing, coating, powder coating, and more.
We also offer a CNC precision grinding service for when your parts require tighter dimensional control and finer surface finishes than conventional machining can typically achieve, with grinding capabilities capable of producing surface roughness as fine as Ra 0.2μm.
What is the lead time for CNC machined parts?
In terms of production time, we can generally produce one-off parts and small batches within 5–8 days of confirming your order. Larger batches may take up to 2-3 weeks, depending on process, part complexity, and additional services such as additional surface finishing.
In terms of delivery time, we can ship worldwide via DHL, FedEx, and UPS in around 3-7 working days, depending on location.
